are strictly vetted before appointment and checked through
the Criminal Records Bureau.
Home Support Workers are trained in:

• Safety Risk Assessment

• Food Hygiene
Staff delivering personal care will be trained
to N.V.Q. Level 2 or be working towards it.

Services Referrals
Service Users referred to Hetton Home Care
Services by the City of Sunderland Social Services Department
will be visited by one of our senior staff prior to the commencement
of the service. At this visit a risk assessment will be completed.
Your service user plan will be agreed with you and a copy
left for your information. You will be given a pack containing
contact numbers for Hetton Home Care Services, office and
out of hours. Services Users Information File, our Complaints
Procedure, and your Service User Plan.
